Miss Dior by Dior

Warm rose and jasmine heart with citrusy notes
I am a perfume geek. I honestly could not say how many bottles of perfumes I have at the moment.  I noticed that each month one fragrance dominates my daily choice and grabs my attention. You can guess how excited I was when I decided to review once a month my fragrance of the month. Playful Miss Dior by Dior did not have a competitor in April.
I met first time with Dior as a child when my mum was applying J'adore for special occasions such as Christmas evening in a very sophisticated, feminine manner standing in front of the bathroom mirror. Our second meeting with Dior, this time Cherie was brisk, rushed in my friend's room as we were getting ready for a house party. Since then we have had a few short meetings, when I was looking for perfume either for myself or someone else. I was reluctant at first to get my first Dior perfume but how could I resist?
Miss Dior Eau De Parfum was on my dressing table for a few years now. We would have had a little bit of a fling relationship, I must admit. We would fall in love with each other for a few winter weeks and then fell apart as spring and summer approached. Miss Dior is a cheeky fragrance, which smells slightly different each time I wear it.
Citrus freshness of Miss Dior is intriguing. There is nothing ordinary about Sicilian mandarin. Possibly because of the combination with jasmine and rose, which slowly develops on my skin into a deeper, stronger scent. On my skin Miss Dior is a fragrance that slowly strengthen itself as time passes, which is not a surprise considering that the base note includes oak moss, patchouli and amber. I would definitely suggest rich patchouli of Miss Dior to anyone who wants something long lasting, without a doubt this is very distinctive fragrance.
There is a sweetness involved but definitely not a youthful, teen sweetness of Cherie. I would say it is more of just the right balance between sweetness and bold chypre's sensuality. It does make me feel slightly hedonistic and sophisticated at times when I do wear it.

The design of Miss Dior bottle is simple yet different to what usually is offered. Pattern on the sides not only adds elegance but they also make holding the bottle easier as it is not sliding out of my hand. The cute pretty bow on the top has also an adorable embossed texture.
I am not even going to deny, I will be back for more. What do you think of Miss Dior?

  1. It is my favourite perfume in Eau de Toilette! I only have this one and Coco Mademoiselle. I loved Miss Dior Chérie even more, but then they changed the formula to get Miss Dior so... I wear Miss Dior all year round :)

    1. I loved Miss Dior Cherie and I have to admit... It is a shame they changed the formula instead of adding one more fragrance to the collection.

  3. I love a good perfume! The only Dior one I had was the green one and cannot remember what it was called now (old age). I thought it was nice & I asked my Mum to bring some back from her holiday but she never as she told me she found it a horrible scent :D I'm really into my Marc Jacobs' perfumes at the moment, they are lovely.

I will need to have a sniff of this one as don't think I've tried it xx

    1. Which one from Marc Jacob's you like? I have Dot, and tried a few others. Was it Tendre Poison by Dior by any chance? They are rather strong! Not for everyone. x
