10 Reasons To Fall In Love | Gran Canaria

Travel Gran Canaria Photography

It looks lately as list like posts are quite liked by you lately. Therefore I will try to give you a snackable content more often so you can read it while you are on the go to work.

 Let’s start with:
Ten perks of off seasons adventure from the sunny Gran Canaria.

1. Getting to the restaurants that overlook the sea and have the best table most of the time – everything without queuing.

2. Stumbling upon a Pride Walk and a party at the beach later, which also happened to be a nudist beach.

3. Drinking sangria and staying forever in one restaurant without the feeling that I am occupying a table for too long.

4. Visiting Arehucas Rum Distillery after the season means more samples for you and smaller tour group.

5. Staff is not in rush as during the high season so actually trying to say: ‘Coffee please’ in Spanish for over a minute is not met with an annoyance of a queue behind you.

6. Writing coursework outdoors is more than just a dream, is possible!

7. Taking photos is so much easier without crowds wandering around the Vegueta Old Town.

8. Mornings when opening window equals fresh breeze and Spanish buzz from nearby fruit market.

9. That moment when you have beach all for yourself.

10. Less people trying to sell fake Ray-Ban sunglasses I don’t want or need.

Off season prices in general are always a huge perk so I am not even going to count them.

Are you tempted to visit Gran Canaria? What perk is your favourite?

  1. I visited Tenerife a couple of years ago and I feel you on the sangria front. It was nice to just chill and drink without being rushed. I really want to visit more of the Canaries after heading there, and Gran Canaria is high up on my list!

    1. I heard from quite a few people that Tenerife is a place to be. I will try to check it out sooner rather than later. Sangria is always a good idea to complete perfect afternoon. Iga x

    1. Hi Dabin, yes absolutely! Empty beach with yellow/white sand is a dream come true for me. Not only I can feel like I have my own 'private' beach but also no one can photo bomb me ;D Iga x

  3. Sounds lovely. I went when I was tiny and would love to go back and dine where I can overlook the sea and take long strolls along the beach :) x
