Winter in Poznan | Poland

Poznan Poland Travel Guide Best UK Travel Blog
I started 2017 with a trip to Poland. My main mission was to sort out things connected with my wedding but I could not resist the pleasure of exploring the places I visited. Why Poland? Check here.
My first stop was Poznan located in central-western Poland. I flew with Wizzair from Birmingham for only £8.99. My flight was delayed for over one and a half hour so it was a long night for me. Luckily my AirBnb host, who was picking me up from the airport, did not mind me landing at around 2am, rather than a few minutes after midnight.
Old Market Square welcomed me with fairy lights and a little bit of snow.

The AirBnb flat I rented out was in the city centre, a walkable distance from the main attractions. If you are new to the Airbnb community you can click here to log in and get £25 to get you started plus Airbnb will also share the love with me.

Comfy bed that's all the girl wants after being awake for over 20 hours...

Mornings which start with a hot tea or coffee is a good morning. Something hot is much needed before heading out when outside is minus 10 Celsius degrees.

I have visited Poznan during the week so I could enjoy quiet evening strolls. Poznan is one of the biggest student cities in Poland hence on every corner there is a delicious place just waiting to be explored.

Stare Miasto Poznan
Poznan is not the most popular January travel destination, which makes it a great destination if you are looking for a tranquil time away.

Spiced winter tea from one of the local businesses, as good as I remembered it! Since I went to Nalesnikarnia Gramofon which is known for pancakes so I also had to try them.

Although Poznan seemed rather safe I decided not to push my luck and had relaxing nights inside the apartment. Cosied up in my apartment with a book was a great way to finish long days.

  1. This place looks fab and so need to add it to the list! ! I love the colourful buildings. They should have that in every country makes a change from the dull grey ones often found in out towns and cities!
