May has
passed by rather quickly, and with my main focus on finishing my coursework I have
not really had the time to go out and try to explore new things. However, I
managed to rediscover things that I already have had at home but did not use for
some time. Quite honestly I did not even know I still had some of them.
Aromatherapy
Eucalyptus
Essential Oil by Nature from New Zealand
I have always
liked the cooling and refreshing smell of mint and eucalyptus. However, when it
came to picking fragrances for the home for some reason I was going for citrusy
or flowery scents. I added a few drops of oil into a bowl of warm water and
left it on the window sill. Within an hour or so I could smell its energising
smell. It made me feel like I was in a luxurious spa resort.
Body
Born Lippy
Watermelon Lip Balm by Body Shop
I have to say
that I am not a fan of lip balms that require me to use my fingers to apply.
This one takes a proud place near my bed. I have the impression that this lip
balm not only smells very summery of watermelon but also tastes sweet.
Oranges
During May I have
rediscovered my love for oranges. My love hate relationship since childhood was
based on a few things; their tough skin, acidy or bitter taste at times, and
sticky hands after eating one. Sticky hands are my pet peeve so even as a child
I was avoiding eating food that can leak, especially if I would not be nearby
running water. The secret is… Yes it
only took me twenty something years to figure it out. Cut them rather than peel
them. My citrusy affair is back on again.
What did you
like in May?

I always hate sticky fingers too, I've spent years avoiding foods that make me sticky haha.

It's a small thing but it can be a nightmare! I just could not stop thinking about my sticky fingers and where can I wash them.
DeleteI love the by nature brand, will have to eucalyptus oil - I can imagine it being so calming!!

It's really relaxing. I wish all dental practices had it instead of an usual smell they have. ;)
DeleteI've just ordered a good bunch of essential oils online and I'm so excited to use them. So agree with you about pot lip balms - hate that residue that's left but The Body Shop lip balms are second to none!

Ooo exciting! What smells did you go for? x
DeleteThe watermelon lip balm sounds yummy. May years ago (back when I was in my teens) I used to always buy their Kiwi one which came in a small glass tub. The smell of it was ever so addictive.
ReplyDeleteOooo I never realised they used to have Kiwi lip balm. I am obsessed with their summer Mohito line - it's fantastic! Love, Iga
