Wander around Reykjavik

Straight after I said Hello to Iceland and off I went, without any real plan, to wander around the streets of my beloved Reykjavik.
It would be a lie if I say that it was just as I remembered it. As any place and I think especially a capital, Reykjavik has developed over the years. However, it still kept its unique vibe.
What vibe you ask?

Laid back, happy, and slow in a good way. I am tempted to add the word artsy too but still with a sense of humour. If you ask me what has a similar vibe in the UK it would be Tchai Ovna in Glasgow, maybe that is why I love it there so much.
Time to warm up in one of the cafes and there are many to pick! I settled in one next to the flat that I used to live in. Do you also find it a bit odd seeing people living in the place where you used to?
I thought that this would not happen but… I actually managed to take off my jacket and a fleece!  For like a second! Guys, I am feeling the summer vibes in Iceland! Only for a few hours as it was pouring down with very cold rain in the evening but who cares about details like this when the sun is shining in your face as you are exploring the capital. For me it was actually revisiting well known streets.
Having a peak from the HallgrĂmskirkja over the city! If you do not follow me on Instagram, you’re missed out on a stunning cityscape!
I was not disappointed, street art scene was still going strong. This time around we did not have a chance to have a wining and dining experience so I guess visiting Fiskmarkadurinn and trying Matarkjallarinn has to wait but it is on my list of things to do!
Reykjavik I will be back for sure but now it’s time to visit waterfalls and the Blue Lagoon!

So... When are you going to Iceland?
