Lisbon is so vibrant, delicious, and quite frankly charming with its tiny, windy, cobbled streets and unmissable, colourful houses.

Catch the number 28 tram from Martim Moniz Square. You will have to wait in a queue for quite a while, so try to beat the crowd. It might and probably will be quicker for you to slowly walk to the castle or get an Uber.

I would aim to enter the São Jorge Castle at 9am to avoid the crowds and sun. Stroll along the walls, enjoy the spectacular views, and on your way out grab the 28 tram. If you don’t mind a few extra steps why not pop in to the romanesque cathedral - Sé.

I would say that if you don't have that much time left after your visit to São Jorge Castle move straight to the impressive Church of São Vicente of Fora and followed with the National Pantheon, also known as the church of Saint Engracia. In between why not grab a bite to eat in one of the many little cafes on your way, a perfect opportunity to hide from the sun and take in Lisbon's vibes.

Depending on how much time you have left walk to Praca do Comercio or grab an uber to Belém Tower rightaway. If you do not have enough time left you can always come back to Praca do Comercio at the end of the day. It's as stunning at night as it is during the day. Belém Tower had originally been developed as a lighthouse and currently has an UNESCO Word Heritage status, definitely a place not to be missed whilst visiting Lisbon.

    1. I am sure you could do it all way quicker but I like to take my time. The big plus is that most of the suggested places are nearby. Also... Uber makes a difference.
