Trendy Spot in Lisbon | LX Factory

Travel UK Blog Iga Berry Visit Portugal LX Factory
Wandering back from the Cascais beach my eye was caught by a rooftop bar that looked like the place to be during sunset. Industrial, urban, rough look sets my inner alarms on because usually that’s where the street art is and I love it.

LxFactory is located only two stops away from Lisbon city centre so catch a train and pop out on Alcantara Mar. You can also walk but in over 40 Celsius degrees that was definitely on the list of my ‘want to do’ things.

Travel blogger's heaven! At least for me with all its independent businesses, design houses, tasty Sangria, book store, show-rooms, industrial vibes, offices, and urban art. LX Factory used to be a fabric production plant but now it is one of the most lively parts of Lisbon.

My Favourite Spots In LX Factory

A few of them are quite hidden so you will have to have a good look around. However let's start from the most popular or at least the busiest spots.

Ler Devagar

'Slowly Reading' is one of the bookstores that I could get lost for hours and hours. It's called 'The word's most beautiful bookshop' and I can see where the title would come from. However I think you have to go and make your own mind about this place. For me it was the easy going vibe and variety of books e.g Thinking, Fast and Slow, books by Haruki Murakami,  that I loved.

Rio Maravilha

If you don't go for the cocktails go for the view. This rooftop bar is one of the places that I would go back to anytime any day. It was such a blast sitting there and watching sun go down. It's a very trendy and funky spot with a woman sculpture facing the Cristo Rei.

Whilst you are there grab a beautiful pizza from A Mesa. It's like taking a step into Sweeney Todd's shop but with the perks.

Place that is full of things that I would love to take back home with me but my hand luggage definitely was a great factor to stop me getting anything.

Sharing this post makes me wish I could go back to LX Factory tomorrow!
